The IIDDA is the copyright of McMaster University. All users must have permission to use the database from McMaster and use of the database is subject to the following conditions:
You may only use data and any other information obtained from the IIDDA for academic research purposes. You must obtain written consent from McMaster for any other uses, such as non-academic research or commercial purposes. All requests for such use can be sent by email to email@example.com.
You must not disclose or share your IIDDA username or password with anyone else. Please advise anyone who wishes to access the IIDDA to request their own IIDDA access. This will enable us to maintain more accurate usage statistics.
Acknowledgment of IIDDA
You must acknowledge the IIDDA and its website (http://iidda.mcmaster.ca) in any publication or presentation in which you make use of data obtained from the IIDDA.
Notification of publications
- Notify McMaster of the citations of papers that have previously made use of data you obtained from the IIDDA;
- Send McMaster an electronic copy of any publication that makes use of data obtained from the IIDDA, if possible upon submission, but in any case, upon publication; and
- Send McMaster the URL of any website on which you have posted material that makes use of data obtained from the IIDDA.

The IIDDA is protected by copyright, trade-mark and other proprietary rights, which are the exclusive property of McMaster University. You can use data and information from the IIDDA but must not reproduce either the whole or a substantial portion of the database.
YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT MCMASTER IS PROVIDING YOU WITH ACCESS TO THE IIDDA WITHOUT ANY REPRESENTATION OR WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR PURPOSE. FOR GREATER CERTAINTY, MCMASTER DOES NOT WARRANT OR ASSUME ANY LEGAL LIABILITY OR RESPONSBILITY FOR THE ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS OR USEFULNESS OF ANY INFORMATION IN THE IIDDA.
Limitation of Liability
McMaster will not be liable to you and/or any third party for any damages of any kind arising out of or relating to the use of, or reliance upon, the IIDDA, including, but not limited to, any lost profits, lost opportunities, special, incidental, indirect, consequential or punitive damages.
This agreement will be construed and enforced in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario.
